Before they became national political figures, Gavin Newsom and Kimberly Guilfoyle were one of San Francisco's most recognized power couples. They married in 2001, but as their careers took them in different directions, they divorced in 2006.
Since then, their lives have followed very different paths.
Newsom went on to marry filmmaker Jennifer Siebel Newsom in 2008, and the couple now has four children. Today, as California's governor, Newsom is back in the national spotlight over an ongoing federal investigation involving his administration. He has dismissed the investigation as politically motivated, while the matter continues to unfold.
Kimberly Guilfoyle built a successful career in television, later became engaged to Donald Trump Jr., and went on to serve in a diplomatic role during the Trump administration.
More than two decades after their wedding, their story continues to attract attention—not only because of where they started together, but because of how dramatically their personal and political journeys have diverged.
